The Flexjet Pro 90mm ARF Jet
Maybe we should refer to the ARF jet as an ARF+ Jet, as it does include a lot of parts that are usually extra for a normal ARF.

Gyro: Aura Professional-Optional
If you are using a turbojet to power the Flexjet Pro ARF jet, then you should definitely consider using the Aura Professional.
The sound generated by a turbojet can interfere with some gyros, and the Aura Professional solves this problem.
An 8 port model is available at a price of $269.99 USD and a 12 port model is $319.99 USD.
Click here to visit the Flex Innovations website, for full information.

Videos
Good video, but no construction details, in fact I could find no videos that showed unboxing or a build sequence.
Hard to see, but good comments on the EDF version.
This is a Flex Innovations official video, showing the EDF version
This one shows a turbine version (Kingtech K45), but no internal details.

Pros
- High quality construction
- Fiberglass molded fuselage
- Balsa and ply constructed flying surfaces, covered in film.
- Profesionally spray painted fuselage
- No foam!
- Easier to repair than a foam model
- Full, effecient ducting to the EDF unit gives maximum thrust
- Fully installed retracts, doors and servos
- Great flying performance (See videos)

Cons
- CA type hinges, could be a source of problems and do not belong on this class of ARF jet. At least consider replacing them or at least pinning them with toothpicks.
- I would prefer separate flaps rather than "flaperons"
- On the expensive side-If you have to purchase the kit, EDF unit, batteries etc., the cost is pushing $1500.00 USD
- There is no build video
- There is no list of items included in the box of this ARF jet
- The wing loading is high, but there may be some lift generated by the fuselage, that could help. The performance in the videos certainly looks very good.

Unique Features
- Fiberglass fuselage, with professionally applied spray finish
- Fully ducted EDF unit, from custom engineered inlets to outlet
- Landing gear, doors and door servos installed
- Ball bearing supported and mass-balanced, all-moving stabilators
Development
The Flexjet Pro was directly developed from the Flexjet G2 90mm Super PNP.
This was an all EPO foam and composite construction ARF jet. that was a little smaller and uses 6S lipos(as compared to 8S used in the Pro)
Click here to see full details
Competition
Competing RC airplanes are 90mm EDF powered sport jets. They should fly better than scale jets, as they are designed, as models, from the ground up.
All foam composite construction, with 6S lipo power.
All foam composite construction, with 6S lipo power.
All balsa and ply construction (including the fuselage), with film covering.
8-12S power
Modifications
- Add a pilot figure
- Make a hole in the canopy to relieve heat build-up
- Prevent nose wheel steering jamming
Turbine Conversion
3mm thick laser cut parts are available, for mounting the Kingtech K45 turbine.
Price of the parts is $22.99USD. Click here to visit the page on the Flex Innovations website.

Conclusion
- The Flex Innovations Flexjet Pro 90mm EDF ARF+ is a true state-of-the-art ARF Jet. With its fiberglass fuselage with mounted landing gear and balsa and ply, film covered flying surfaces, it should last a long time.
- Keep those landings smooth and any repairs should be easy, for the experienced modeler.
- The price may be on the high side, but the quality of construction and finish are second to none.
- As the videos show, the flight performance is very smooth and the 8S power system gives lots of thrust.
