Edf jets-10

The photo above shows the E-Flite UMX MiG 15 RC Micro jet. Of all foam construction, this MiG 15 is equipped with the E-Flite 3-axis gyro system, referred to as AS3X. This system makes the airplane fly rock steady and gives the pilot the impression he (or she) is flying a much larger airplane!

A glance at the specifications, to the right will confirm that this is a micro- edf jet. The AS3X system means that it can be flown outdoors, even in a moderate breeze and the video does show the MiG being flown indoors. This type of flying requires very fast reactions to prevent wall collisions!

The E-Flite F-4 Phantom 32DF ARF.

EDF Jets-11
The E-Flite F-4 Phantom.

Construction consists of a fiberglass fuselage and flying surfaces are of  balsa and ply and covered with UtraCote, in a beautiful scale, 6-color USN Sundowner finish.

The fully sheeted, removable wings are equipped with carbon blade spars.

The fan unit (sold separately) is 80mm diameter and produces over 5.4 lbs of thrust at 39.000RPM when connected to a 6S lipo battery.

This model is FAST! and should satisfy the most demanding Jet Jock! When equipped with the optional retracts and flaps, it makes for a superb, modern version of the F-4 Phantom.

This is a full ARF EDF Jet and not a foam toy! It takes a bit of building and it is not inexpensive, but you will be more than rewarded with a first class modern jet!

BVM Jets and Electric Power.

Bob Violett Models has a very large range of all types of jets. These are all large models, usually constructed of fiberglass and incorporate the latest technologies.

Their Electric Viofan is 3.5 inch (88.9mm) exhaust diameter and can produce up to 14 lbs of thrust! Using the latest Li- Po batteries ensures maximum performance and reliability. Please click here to visit BVM Jets, for further information.

I believe it is fair to say that BVM jets represent the ultimate in EDF jets. Their aircraft can fly at speeds approaching 200 MPH and are not for the faint of heart!
