Micro RC Airplanes: Night Vapor BNF

by Robert Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

In many ways, the Parkzone Night Vapor, is the ideal beginner RC plane. It is a 3-channel RC airplane, true hobby grade, and is definitely NOT a toy!
It features rudder, elevator and throttle controls and with a wing span of 14.8", the total weight is 0.6oz. This very light weight means that little damage can result from the inevitable crash with walls or the floor.
The Night Vapor can be flown outdoors, in a dead calm or indoor RC flying can be a lot of fun, in a school gym or similar, large area.
The night vapor is called so because of the built in LED lights. Night or dusk flying adds another dimension to the fun.
The RC electric plane, comes completely assembled and includes a 70mAh 3.7V lipo battery and a DC charger.
You will need a 3-channel minimum, RC transmitter that is DSM2 compatible and on the 2.4Ghz band.
The modular design means that replaceable parts can be easily inserted, after any damage is sustained.

Micro RC Airplanes: Night Vapor RTF

by Robert Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

The Parkzone Night Vapor is an ideal beginner RC plane. It is slow flying and very forgiving-if you get into trouble, just release the sticks and if you have enough altitude, the Night Vapor will recover automatically.

With a wing span of 14.8"and a total weight of 0.6oz. this electric RC plane can be flown outdoors in a dead calm or indoor RC flying is possible in a school gym or similar large area.
The model has 3-channels of control- throttle, rudder and elevator and comes 100% complete, with a 4-channel, 2.4Ghz DSM2 RC transmitter. This transmitter can be used to control other RC airplanes, so in the future you can buy BNF (Bind anD Fly) models and save a few dollars!
It is called the Night Vapor because it comes equipped with LED lights and can be flown at night, for extra fun!
About the only negative comment I read about in the reviews was regarding the high price. It should be pointed out that the Night Vapor is NOT a toy but a true hobby grade RC airplane.
If parts do get beyond repair, then spare replacement parts are available.
This is a true beginner RC airplane, that is capable of teaching you to fly or it is a TON of fun for the experienced flyer!

Micro RC Airplanes: Parkzone Ember 2 BNF

by Robert Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

Here is a micro RC airplane that can be enjoyed by the new beginner or the seasoned RC pilot.
As a beginner RC plane, the Parkzone Ember, with a wing span of 16.5" and a total flying weight of 0.7oz,is difficult to damage seriously, because of it's feather-like weight.
The light wing loading means the speed is low, giving more time to react and learn the "feel"of flying a real RC airplane and not a toy!

The Ember is constructed of foam and is a 3-channel RC airplane. The controls are fully proportional rudder, elevator and throttle. This is a BNF model and as such requires an RC transmitter. The transmitter should be a Spektrum or JR DSM2 type, on the 2.4Mhz frequency. The lipo battery (3.7V 70 mAh ) and DC charger are included.
It should take about 15 to 20 minutes to charge the battery.
In very calm conditions, the Ember can be a joy to fly in your own backyard or indoor RC flying can be enjoyed in a school gym or similar large indoor area.
Like all Parkzone RC planes, no glue or paint is required to get the Ember ready for flight- just charge the battery, bind your RC transmitter and go fly!

After reading reviews, I could find no negative comments at all! Beginners and proficient pilots all loved the Ember and gave it a resounding thumbs up! Comments on it's easy flying abounded, but please remember to fly outdoors in dead calm conditions only! The light weight makes high winds a real challenge.
