E-Flite: UMX Beast BNF

by Bob Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

The Beast, designed by world champion Quique Somenzini, will give you the flying impression of a larger scale RC biplane.
It is completely finished and flight ready- just bind to any DSM2 Aircraft RC transmitter with dual rates and expo functions.
It comes with a 180 size outrunner brushless motor already installed.
The really fun thing is that experienced pilots can fly it in the backyard, when the winds are calm!
The combination of a high power motor, propeller and lipo battery produces spine-tingling thrust that translates into extreme 3D RC aerobatics!
The UMX Beast comes completely assembled with a Spektrum AR400BL Ultra Micro DSM2 receiver/BL RC ESC unit installed.
The RC servos(4) are long throw and, of course, built in.
With a wing span of just 12.7", the Beast weighs 2.36oz and flight time should average 5 minutes.

E-Flite: UMX Extra 300 3D BNF

by Bob Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

Indoor RC foam airplanes are very popular, during the winter months. This Extra is ideal for 3D RC aerobatics!
It comes completely built and flight ready-just bind to your DSM2 Aircraft RC transmitter, with dual rates and expo and go fly!
It comes complete with a lipo battery and a DC charger.
The wing span of 16.8" and a total weight of 1.2oz means an experienced pilot can fly it almost anywhere indoors!
Construction is all foam that is covered with a micro-thin film and reinforced with carbon fiber rods that keep flexing and twisting to a minimum for extreme 3D flight.
Optional side force generators are included. These slide into position, on the wings and improve lift during knife-edge flight and other maneuvers.
Flight time should be between 4 and 8 minutes, depending on throttle use.

E-Flite: UMX Extra 300 3D BNF Basic

by Bob Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

RC foam airplanes, that can fly 3D RC aerobatics, indoors is now a reality! This Extra 300 comes complete and ready to fly but you do need to add a lipo battery(3.7V 1-cell 150mAh) and a charger.
Your RC transmitter must be a 4-channel minimum DSM2/DZMX computer radio with dual rates and expo.
The construction is laser-cut flat foam, reinforced with carbon fiber rods that provide enough stiffness and rigidity required for 3D flight.
With a wing span of 16.8" and a total weight of 1.2oz, the Extra 300 can be flown almost anywhere indoors. A large dining room or conference room can become you flying field!
This basic BNF version of the UMX Extra 300 is ideal for the pilot who already has the lithium polymer battery and charger and who simply wants the plane.

E-Flite: Ultra Micro 4-Site BNF

by Bob Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

RC foam airplanes have developed to the point represented here by the Ulta Micro 4-Site. It comes completely built and flight ready-just bind your DSM2 aircraft RC transmitter(Dual rates and expo recommended) and go fly!
Included are two lipo batteries and a four port DC charger with an AC converter. This charger allows up to four batteries to be charged at the same time.
This means that you can fly for a long time!
The 4-Site is constructed using a unique manufacturing process that results in an airframe that is lighter, stiffer and more durable than standard sheet foam. It also gives the wing an airfoil shape that provides superior flight performance, compared to flat sheet foam.
The use of independent RC Servos for aileron control and carbon fiber reinforcement ensure complete control of a true 3D capable foamie!
The wing span of 15.2" and a finished weight of 1.25oz. means the 4-Site can be flown almost anywhere.

E-Flite: Ultra Micro 4-Site PNP

by Bob Bishop
(RC Airplanes Simplified.com)

Indoor RC airplanes have developed to the point that 3D RC aerobatics are possible.
This Ultra Micro 4-Site PNP is intended for the pilot who already owns the lipo battery(1S 150mAh)and a suitable charger.
He will also require a 4-channel(Minimum) Spektrum or JR 2.4GHz DSM2 RC transmitter.
The 4-Site is constructed using a unique manufacturing process that results in an airframe that is lighter, stiffer and more durable than standard sheet foam. Parts are also reinforced with carbon fiber rods so that in-flight flexing and twisting is minimized when performing 3D RC aerobatics.
With a wing span of 15.2" and a total weight of 1.25oz, the 4-Site can fly 3D maneuvers almost anywhere!
Being a PNP model,it comes absolutely complete and includes a mini RC receiver and RC ESC unit plus four RC servos installed. The ailerons are controlled by 2 servos, ensuring precise control.
